Since January 1, 2022, the AGEC law (anti-waste law for a circular economy), prohibits plastic packaging on fruits and vegetables of less than 1.5Kg sold in stores (except for those presenting a risk of deterioration when sold in bulk)

The objective of this law is to get out of the logic of disposable plastic used among others in the food distribution for the packaging of fruits and vegetables, to replace it by reusable or biodegradable supports.

Aware of the impact of this law on the industry, ARC is fully committed to working with producers who use fruit and vegetable packaging in order to obtain exemptions for certain applications and to offer packaging solutions that comply with the law (article 80).
